Our Story
When our son turned 4, after years of ghostwriting his ‘thank you’ notes, we decided it was time to involve him in the process! So, I cut up little squares of thick paper and I handed him a crayon. Since he had a snow-themed party, I told him to draw snowmen. He had so much fun, and I found so much joy in watching his mind at work.
When friends and family received their ‘thank you’ notes, they were thrilled to receive the artwork. It felt like the perfect way for us to give back and show our gratitude, in more than just words, for the care they all put into joining us for his birthday.
His whimsical drawings gave me an idea. I started Cranbaby Paper to teach our children the joy of expressing gratitude in a creative way.
Our eldest is my Creative Director, and no design passes the test without his approval. The tractor drawing was called a "monster truck" for the first five iterations. So, I hope you can feel the intention and care behind each item we create.
Most importantly, I hope our designs encourage you to spend more time capturing the fleeting moments of watching your little ones grow up. Every squiggle, circle, and dot your little cranbabies create is a masterpiece to cherish.
Here is your pass to color outside the lines, color inside the lines, come up with wild ideas.
Let us help you encourage your little ones, and yourself, to discover what talents are hidden inside.

“There is a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better, for worse, as his portion; that though the wide universe is full of good, no kernel of nourishing corn can come to him but through his toil bestowed on that plot of ground which is given to him to till. The power which resides in him is new in nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried.”
